Formula 1

Ferrari has pushed on with developments of its 2017 Formula 1 car in recent races, with changes to the floor and front wing phased in.

In this latest animation produced by Motorsport.tv, we explain the changes and how the Ferrari SF70H has improved.

The modifications include changes to the front wing endplate detail, designed to improve the airflow off the front tyres and changes to the slots in the floor ahead of the rear wheels.

Most importantly, there’s a change to the diffuser aimed at increasing the performance of what is a powerful downforce-producing part of the car.

The changes were brought in starting with the United States Grand Prix in October, and contributed to Sebastian Vettel’s first victory since July in the Brazilian GP.
