Carlos Sainz claimed his second Dakar Rally win earlier this month with victory for Peugeot.

After his victory, the 55-year-old rallying legend was interviewed by Peter Windsor for the latest episode of Motorsport.tv show The Flying Lap.

In this clip from the interview, Sainz explains how he prepared for the event and offers some insight into the development of his Peugeot 3008 DKR. He also reflects on the controversial incident with quad bike rider Kees Koolen.

Sainz, also talks about the role played by his son, the Renault F1 driver over the two weeks of the vent; the reception he received back in Spain; and a very special “second father” named Ove Andersson.
