M-Sport boss Malcolm Wilson and 2017 Rally GB winner Elfyn Evans are the guests on the first edition of The Autosport Podcast of this year.
The duo join David Evans and Edd Straw both to look back at their successes, and those of drivers’ champion Sebastien Ogier, last year and to look ahead to their prospects for 2018.
Wilson explains how big a risk it was to bring Ogier in for 2017, and the scale of the challenge his team faced in producing a car for the new regulations.
Evans looks back on his breakthrough WRC victory on Rally GB last year, and talks about the challenge he faces as Ogier’s team-mate in 2018.
The duo also look back on the 2015 season, when Wilson dropped Evans from the full-time WRC line-up to contest the British Rally Championship and WRC2 – creating a lively discussion.
